Time to change stuff up.
I was on an unsustainable path before. I built this website with a friend editing my blog posts and helping with the business plans and I am very grateful for their help. My personal life took some major turns and stuff went on pause for a while and now that I am back at it my friend is no longer working on this project with me. Stuff in my life seems to have settled and I have made a lot of background progress in the mean time and am getting back to public facing work.
As with my last blog post The HomeGrown 3D Print Rebellion, the tone of this website will probably change to a lot to less formal and salesy, instead to be more personal and to the point. This should help me crank out content to support my designs and community. I will also be adding a paywall to access most of my files through Patreon, so that I can support myself with this work.
The TAC-01 Printer

The Angry Chicken 01 3D printer (TAC-01) has been working great for the past 2 years. I had been using it in a less finished state for the past 3 years, but I finished it up and put it on Klipper firmware earlier this year and am past 1000 print hours on it! Woohoo. There would be a few things I would change if I update it, but I really enjoy it as it is as well. It is proving a very reliable and well built 3d printer. Since the release of Bambu Lab printers, everything in the scene has seemingly changed. This has made 3d printers not my main focus, but they were a nice place to hone my mechanical design and systems thinking skills. I hope to publish the rest of the printer on Printables soon! There are several million Ender 3’s out there, and I like how the TAC-01 offers a scalable piece by piece upgrade plan for them to bring out the most in their performance and become a solid tool in any shop that will last for years to come with minimal proprietary parts.
Paintball Gear

Paintball has developed a serious Nazi problem. Yup that’s right, Nazi’s. Just dig around on paintball Reddit a bit and you will find them (link to reddit r/paintball nazi search.) This has led me to not being interested in pursuing paintball design at all for the time being. The game has in general corroded a lot from its former self. I still have a huge back log of designs I will release on my Patreon bit by bit. My friends and supporters from Paintball have been amazing despite the problems with the game itself. If that is you, I really appreciate you!
Table Top Games and Fidget Toys
This is my new main focus. Taking my artwork skills mixed with functional mechanical engineering design, I’ve designed 2 games so far, the first of which will be on my Patreon shortly and I will make a post about it on this website as well! Not a lot of details to share with this yet. Stay tuned!
Disability Justice

While lying low and dealing with other life issues, disability justice became a main focus of mine. The Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing and has led to many people who cannot or do not want to catch the virus having to drop out of main portions of society. I am designing as many things as I can to help support those who are trying to avoid the pathogen. I am using my designs for mutual aid related sales and hoping to release my files publicly as well. You will need a Patreon subscription or to pay for a download of the files in order to resell 3d prints from my files.
Portfolio
I hope this website will serve as my portfolio moving forward, as well as be a place for Patreon members to access the backlog of my files and work after they have been subscribed for 3 months or longer.
The Purge Line Comic
I have about 10 + panels planned for the Purge Line Comic that I need to sit down and draw and crank out one of these days!!!
This Website
I need to change things with this website a bit, go through old posts and remove dead links, and re-organize it for the new goals.
That’s All Folks (for now)
If you made it this far, thanks so much for reading! I really appreciate everyone’s support that got me this far and am excited for what is next!
Join HomeGrown 3D on Patreon
I am taking most of my work to Patreon supporters only, and no longer releasing free files to the public unless it something for the greater good like health care and accessibility related designs, or combating planned obsolescence and environmental waste.
For designs I release to the public, a Patreon subscription would be required for a commercial license to 3d print and sell the items.
Supporters that are on Patreon for 3 months or longer get access to all my files released so far. We also have an awesome community growing on discord! Would love to see you there!
