About

My original goal with HomeGrown 3D was to create a self-sustaining resource for my 3D printing designs, sharing information, honest reviews, and building community.

The vision was to lay an educational framework that empowered people to be both handy around the house and professionally competent and successful. To offer a path of empowerment filled with hands on engineering and machining experiences.

I hoped to aim people towards proper health, safety, and recycling practices. I sought to to generate a broad understanding of how society operates and how man made objects are manufactured.

HomeGrown 3D is run by Jacob Bloom. Jacob has been working on work from home online businesses and bootstrapped marketing campaigns since early in college (2009).

Jacob got into 3d printing in 2018 with a focus on sourcing SLS and MJF nylon prints, and got into FDM printing later that year when he received a Creality Ender 3 FDM 3d Printer in a paintball gear trade.

HomeGrown 3D is a project, portfolio, blog, and experimental space.

Thanks for checking it out. Enjoy!
